Seven-time AMA Supercross champion and Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL PRO 2WD winner Jeremy McGrath was recently inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America while he was racing at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill. McGrath talks about his thoughts on the hall of fame induction, racing in the TORC Series, and his future plans.

Mountain Extreme Park in Dayton, Tennessee hosted the 4th and final 2010 W.E. Rock Eastern US National Event, hosted by Tom’s 4×4 Super Store. Over 20 pro and local teams came to the two night event and battled in front of the record crowd. “There were 3,800 spectators over the 2 day event, making this the largest crowd in W.E. Rock history,” stated Rich Klein, race promoter. “The Mountain Extreme Park is a perfect place to watch rock crawling, putting the spectators within 10 feet of the action and giving them the ability to see every course from one spot.”

“Every leg will present its own unique challenges. There will be some great driving and riding sections as always, and we’ve reduced the amount of fenceline driving to provide as much variety as possible.

Superspeedway, and the Nov. 19 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway – with driver-owner Kyle Busch behind the wheel for each event.

Raceline Wheels are so tough they can run without a tire for multiple miles in the rough Nevada desert. Jesse Haines crossed the finish line without a tire for over 10 miles, and Chris Ridgway made it 20 miles to the next pit on a Raceline Wheel. In both instances only seconds separated them from their competitor at the finish line.

The extremely high level of the competition was clear right from the outset at the start of the mountain running race from the centre of the village of Egg. Mountain running world champion Helmut Schiessl was there as were top Italian athlete Gerd Frick (Zermatt marathon winner) and the two Czech mountain running stars Jan Havlicek and Robert Krupicka.

I am sure by now you have all heard about the tragedy at the MDR California 200 Night race. Reports state There was a terrible accident between a race vehicle and a group of spectators that left 8 dead and 12 injured according to the last update we received. The accident is under investigation by the CHP. Our prayers go out to all of the people involved in this tragedy.

“That really hurt us in the points,” Johnson said after Saturday morning’s drivers’ meeting. “We were strong at Crandon, had an awesome weekend at Oshkosh, sweeping the weekend. So (the season’s) had its ups and downs, but that DNF definitely hurt us. I’ve always said to win the championship (in the TORC Series) with the competition as strong as it is, you gotta be on the podium.”

“The track was perfect and had so much grip,” Foust said. “Door-to-door, I like racing the four cars, but even when you say you don’t have a favorite kid, you always do. And Super Rally is definitely my favorite.”

The action-sport of auto racing, Rallycross is a blend of circuit racing, off-road racing and rally competition.
